Itsycal - AI Tools Nav

What it is for

Itsycal is a menu-bar calendar + agenda desk: you click the 17, see September 2026, read Snicker Snack 11 AM–12 PM, and the app is Free (MIT). Use it when the job is an agenda you start at a public $, not when you need Fantastical Premium ~$6.99 or MeetingBar’s join button.

Soft-note: Free / MIT OSS at sfsam/Itsycal (LICENSE.txt MIT; GitHub SPDX MIT). Distinct from Fantastical, Notion Calendar, and MeetingBar.

What makes it unique: the cover is Mowglii’s official calendar + agenda (September 2026, the 17 circled, Today Snicker Snack 11 AM–12 PM, Sunday Frabjous Day / Mimsy Borogove) from mowglii.com/itsycal/itsycalbanner2@2x.png — not a wordmark. The Snicker Snack row itself is ops of the agenda.

Key features

Menu-bar calendar — month grid on one desk (cover still; product). One desk. Cover 17 sits here.
Agenda — Snicker Snack / Frabjous Day / Mimsy Borogove (cover). An agenda, not a Premium tile.
Event dots — days with events on the cover (cover). A dot, not a $0 meter.
Today / Sunday sections — dated stacks (cover). A stack, not Get started.
Calendar accounts — system calendars (product; repo). An account, not Enterprise.
Menu-bar clock — optional time in the extra (product). A clock, not SSO.

Download is a CTA (not a desk). Free / MIT stay in Pricing. There is no AI extra to drop. This is an agenda, not a meeting-join button.

Who it's for

Best fit: Mac users who will stay on Free while they read a first Snicker Snack agenda — then keep it at $0, not Fantastical Premium ~$6.99 first unless they want Flexibits’ fuller calendar, and not if they need MeetingBar’s join action (Itsycal shows the event; it does not sell itself as a join bar).

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-23 (Asia/Shanghai) from mowglii.com/itsycal plus github.com/sfsam/Itsycal (LICENSE.txt MIT; SPDX MIT; 4033 stars on the fetch). Soft-note: no paid SKU on the product page we fetched.

Itsycal — Free. MIT.
Source — sfsam/Itsycal.
No paid SKU. Do not invent an Itsycal $.

Limitations / costs

Menu-bar only. Thinner than Fantastical’s Premium calendar.
An agenda, not MeetingBar’s join desk. For one-click join see MeetingBar.
macOS. Not a web / Windows calendar.
OSS MIT. We link the verified repo.

Alternatives

Fantastical — a Flexibits calendar when you want Free $0 / Premium ~$6.99/mo, not a thin menu-bar agenda.
Notion Calendar — Notion’s calendar when you want it on Notion Free $0 (Plus $10), not Itsycal’s month popover.
MeetingBar — a menu-bar join when you want Free OSS (Apache-2.0), not Snicker Snack as an agenda.
