What it is for

Flipt is an open-source feature-flag desk: you create a flag in the UI, and Open Source is $0 forever (unlimited flags, Git-native sync, one binary). Use it when the job is flags you start at $0, not when you need a $20 chat seat.

What makes it unique: the cover is the official Flipt New Flag form (Name, Key, Type Variant/Boolean, Description, Create) from the docs create-flag still — not a pricing card. The form itself is ops of Flags.

Key features

• Flags — a named boolean or variant you evaluate (New Flag still; pricing Unlimited feature flags). One switch. Rollouts and the cover Type radio are ops of this. SDKs / OpenFeature are install.
• Segments — an audience you attach to a flag (docs Segments). A group, not a toggle. Constraints on a segment sit here.
• Git PRs from the UI — a change that opens a reviewable commit (pricing Create pull requests from UI). A PR, not a flag. Pro. GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket / Azure DevOps and GPG-signed commits are ops of this.
• Secrets — credentials kept out of flag YAML (pricing Integrated secrets management). A vault, not a flag. Pro.
• Self-host / Pro — the OSS binary you run, or Flipt Pro at $200/month (GitHub; pricing Open Source / Flipt Pro). A control plane, not a flag. Pro is up to 10 instances; Custom is unlimited + air-gapped distribution.

Realtime streaming updates print on every card — they are delivery of Flags, not a sixth desk. The CLI is install.

Who it's for

Best fit: platform teams who will stay on Open Source at $0 (unlimited flags, Git sync, community support) while they ship a first New Flag form, then buy Flipt Pro at $200/month when they need UI-opened PRs, secrets, email support, and up to 10 instances.

Verified 2026-10-23 (Asia/Shanghai) from flipt.io (Pricing that won't punish your success). The page has Monthly / Annually (“Save 20%”). The Pro tile we fetched printed $200/month. An annual dollar was not printed next to that tile — do not invent it.

Limitations / costs

• $200 is a flat Pro month, not a seat. There is no per-seat line on the page.
• Pro is 10 instances. An 11th instance is Custom, not a second Pro pack.
• Annual “Save 20%” is a toggle. We did not print a yearly Pro dollar — confirm checkout.
