Courier is a hosted notification desk: you open Design Studio, and Developer is free up to 10,000 sends / month, then $0.005 per send. Use it when the job is templates and journeys you start at $0, not when you need a $20 chat seat.

What makes it unique: the cover is the official Courier Design Studio (Rivian Welcome email, {{profile.name}}, R2 card, Email styles) from the docs still — not a pricing card. The canvas itself is ops of Templates. Courier bills sends, not seats (“No per-seat or no channel add-ons fee” on the page we fetched).
