Our take
Pick OBS Studio if streamers and recordists who will stay on the GPL app at $0 while they learn Preview → Transition → Program — not a SaaS recorder unless they want Screen Studio’s auto zooms or Loom’s async bubble. Pick Tella if founders and CS teams who will pay Pro after the 7-day trial so they can keep recording — there is no permanent Free row.
