PopClip

What it is for

PopClip is a macOS selection-popup desk: you highlight Hello, PopClip!, tap Copy, and the trial is fully functional. Use it when the job is a selection action you start at a public $, not when you need Raycast’s launcher first.

Soft-note: free trial (fully functional; nags after 250 actions) + US Billing Standard US$12.00 (2-year updates) / Lifetime US$29.00 / 1-year US$9.00 — popclip.app/buy plus Pilotmoon Billing API getProductsBilling (country=US, 2026-10-23). Also on Setapp (see the buy page; do not invent the Setapp $). Distinct from Alfred, Raycast, and BetterTouchTool.

What makes it unique: the cover is PopClip’s official selection toolbar (Cut / Copy / Paste over Hello, PopClip!) from popclip.app — not a wordmark. The Copy button itself is ops of the popup.

Key features

• Selection popup — Cut / Copy / Paste on highlighted text (cover still; product). One desk. Cover Copy sits here.
• Highlight target — Hello, PopClip! on the cover (cover). A selection, not a $12 meter.
• Extensions — community + built-in actions after Copy (guide). An extension, not Get started.
• Personal license — up to 5 personal Macs (buy). A seat rule, not Enterprise.
• 2-year vs Lifetime updates — Standard keeps the last build after the window (buy). A window, not a trial tile.
• Accessibility popup — appears on selection (needs Accessibility) (guide). A popup, not SSO.

Download / Buy license are CTAs (not desks). Standard / Lifetime $ stay in Pricing. There is no AI extra to drop.

Who it's for

Best fit: Mac users who will finish the 250-action trial then buy Standard US$12 — or Lifetime US$29 if they want every future version, not Raycast Pro $10 first unless they want a launcher, and not if they need Windows.

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-23 (Asia/Shanghai) from popclip.app/buy plus the official Billing API https://api.pilotmoon.com/frontend/store/getProductsBilling?products=popclip_2year,popclip_lifetime,popclip_1year&mode=live&country=US (currencyCode USD). Soft-note: region-aware Paddle Billing — other countries differ. We catalog US$.

• Trial — fully functional; nags after 250 actions (printed).
• Standard (2-year updates) — US$12.00 (popclip_2year / pri_01m4tezq4schx9svjewavdf3xa).
• Lifetime — US$29.00 (popclip_lifetime / pri_01m4tezq9qtw6x5gm1keaab7xe).
• 1-year — US$9.00 (popclip_1year).
• Setapp — listed on the buy page. Do not invent the Setapp monthly $.
• Student — half-price 2-year Standard + 25% off Lifetime upgrade (claim page). Do not invent the student $.
• The product is not OSS. We omit a GitHub CTA.

Limitations / costs

• macOS-only. Needs Accessibility for the selection popup.
• Standard keeps the last version after the 2-year update window. Further updates need a new license.
• Extension quality varies (community extensions).
• A selection popup, not Alfred’s launcher / Powerpack clipboard. For that see Alfred.

Alternatives

• Alfred — a launcher + workflows when you want Free / Powerpack £34, not a selection popup.
• Raycast — a launcher + File Search when you want Free $0 / Pro $10, not Cut/Copy/Paste on highlight.
• BetterTouchTool — input automation when you want Standard ~$15 / Lifetime ~$25, not a text-selection bar.

popclip.app/guide is the written path. We found no solid official Pilotmoon YouTube channel we could treat as product how-to. Third-party demos exist — we do not embed those. No official YouTube how-to to embed. Written path: popclip.app plus buy and guide.
