BetterTouchTool

What it is for

BetterTouchTool is a Mac input-customization desk: you bind 1 Finger Circle Clockwise to Volume Up, chain 600+ actions, and Standard is about $15 (updates for 2 years). Use it when the job is a gesture you start at a public $, not when you need Raycast’s Free $0 launcher only.

Soft-note: Standard ~$15 (2-year updates) + Lifetime ~$25 + 45-day trial + Setapp. Distinct from Raycast, Magnet, and Rectangle.

What makes it unique: the cover is BetterTouchTool’s official Trackpad gestures (1 Finger Circle Clockwise → Volume Up (Small Step), Circle Gesture Configuration, Gesture Log) from folivora.ai/folivora/shots/trackpad-gestures.webp — not a wordmark. The circle gesture itself is ops of the trackpad.

Key features

• Trackpad gestures — 1 Finger Circle Clockwise on the cover (cover still; product). One desk. Cover Volume Up sits here.
• Circle Gesture Configuration — required circles before trigger (cover). A threshold, not a Standard tile.
• Gesture Log — latest-first circle events (cover). A log, not a $15 meter.
• Keyboard / mouse / Stream Deck — 600+ triggers across inputs (product). A trigger, not Get started.
• 600+ actions — chainable (product). An action, not Enterprise.
• Floating menus / window layouts — saved layouts and on-screen menus (docs). A layout, not SSO.

Download / Buy are CTAs (not desks). Standard / Lifetime $ stay in Pricing. Cover chrome Ask AI (beta) stays off Key features as an AI extra.

Who it's for

Best fit: Mac users who will run the 45-day trial while they bind a first circle gesture — then Standard at ~$15 (2-year updates) or Lifetime at ~$25, not Raycast Pro $10 first unless they want a launcher.

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-23 (Asia/Shanghai) from folivora.ai/buy plus folivora.ai (“45 days free trial”). Soft-note: the buy page prints “$15 — depends on country & taxes” and “$25 — depends on country & taxes; exact price shown in the purchase dialog.”

• Standard — about $15. Updates for 2 years; after that you keep the last build from that window.
• Lifetime — about $25. Updates while BetterTouchTool exists; also covers other folivora Mac apps released in the following 2 years.
• 45-day trial — homepage “45 days / free trial”.
• Setapp — also sold via Setapp. The buy page does not print a Setapp $. Do not invent a Setapp $.
• One personal license covers all your personal Macs (buy page). Confirm Paddle checkout; taxes vary.

Limitations / costs

• Standard stops updates after 2 years. You keep the last version from that window; new macOS work may need Lifetime or a new Standard.
• Exact checkout $ varies by country & tax. Cite ~$15 / ~$25, then confirm the dialog.
• A gesture desk, not Raycast’s Free $0 launcher. For that launcher see Raycast.
• The product is not OSS. We omit a GitHub CTA rather than invent a product repo.

Alternatives

• Raycast — a launcher + hotkeys when you want Free $0 / Pro $10, not a circle-gesture Volume Up.
• Magnet — an App Store snap when you want $4.99 window tiles, not 600+ input actions.
• Rectangle — a Free OSS snap when you want $0 Snap Areas, not a paid gesture engine.
