Hasura is a GraphQL delivery desk: you connect a database, the console serves a GraphQL API, and you can start Hasura DDN Free at $0 (unlimited models, 1 supergraph developer, 15-minute traces) or self-host the v3 graphql-engine. Use it when the job is a supergraph you start at $0, not when you need a $20 chat seat.
What makes it unique: the cover is the official Hasura Actions console (Create, GraphQL → Actions → Postgres, HTTP endpoint) from the docs actions-quickstart still — not a pricing card. The empty-state diagram is ops of Actions.
An active model (printed FAQ) is any model or command in the metadata accessed more than 1,000 times / month. That is the DDN meter, not a feature.
Best fit: app teams who will stay on DDN Free at $0 (1 supergraph developer, 15-minute traces, unlimited models) or self-host v3, then move to DDN Base at $5 per active model / month when they need unlimited developers and 30-day observability.
Verified 2026-10-22 (Asia/Shanghai) from hasura.io/pricing. DDN paid tiles are per active model / month. Private DDN / VPC rows are starred add-ons — do not invent those dollars.
