Appwrite is an open-source BaaS desk: you store a document, sign a user in, and Cloud includes a Free plan plus dedicated database compute from $10/month (Starter 1 core / 1 GB) — or you self-host the public app at $0. Use it when the job is auth + data + files you start on Cloud Free or a $10 DB, not when you need a $20 chat seat.
What makes it unique: the cover is the official Appwrite Databases document list (Movies collection, Create document, Attributes / Indexes) from the website visuals still — not a pricing card. The table itself is ops of Databases.
Cloud prints a Free plan and a Pro plan in the pricing FAQ (Free freezes at a resource limit; Pro continues with overage). The compare-plans grid is client-rendered — do not invent a Pro dollar the static HTML did not print as a card. Dedicated compute tiers are printed.
Best fit: app teams who will stay on Cloud Free (project freezes at the cap) or self-host OSS at $0 while they create a first Movies document, then add a dedicated database at $10/month (Starter 1 core / 1 GB) when they want reserved compute — and confirm the live Pro card before they treat overage as a fixed seat.
Verified 2026-10-22 (Asia/Shanghai) from appwrite.io/pricing. The static cards we fetched are database compute. Organization Free / Pro names appear in the FAQ on the same page.
Confirm checkout; taxes follow your location. Indian cards may see an RBI verification hold up to $150 (FAQ).
