Doppler is a per-seat secrets desk: you edit a config of env keys, and Developer is free for 3 users then $8/month per extra user. Use it when the job is secrets you start at $0 for three people, not when you need a $20 chat seat.

What makes it unique: the cover is the official Doppler Secrets editor (DB_HOST / DB_URL with ${DB_NAME} references, Config Syncs / Access / Logs tabs) from the docs still — not a pricing card. The table itself is ops of Secrets. AI agents and non-human identities “ride free” on the printed copy.

• Seats / access — a human who can open the workplace (pricing Developer / Team / Enterprise). A person, not a secret. Developer is free for 3 users then $8. Team is $21/user. RBAC, SAML, and service accounts print on Team. Agents / NHI are not a sixth seat on the printed copy.

Activity-log retention (Developer 3 days / Team 90 days) is the audit meter. CLI and MCP are install.

• Change Requests and SAML are Team. The Developer table will not grow those buttons.
• Team add-ons are $9/seat each. Custom roles + groups + extra syncs is $27/seat on top of $21.

Alternatives

• Infisical — OSS secrets when you will self-host the vault instead of buying Doppler seats.
