Canny

What it is for

Canny is a hosted feedback-ideas desk: you open Ideas, and Free is $0 / month. Use it when the job is ideas you score by opportunity and MRR, not when you need a $20 chat seat.

What makes it unique: the cover is the official Canny Ideas list (Dark Mode opportunity 69.0k / MRR $500,015.93 / insights 91, Outlook / Portrait Mode / Add Card by Camera Scan) from the help still — not a pricing card. The rows themselves are ops of Ideas. Canny bills $0 or $79 / month billed yearly, not a chat seat.

Key features

• Ideas — a feedback row you score (cover still; help). One list. Cover Dark Mode and $500,015.93 sit here.
• Roadmaps — a public plan you pin ideas onto (cover sidebar Roadmaps) (help). A roadmap, not an idea row. Status columns sit here.
• Changelog — a shipped note you publish (cover sidebar Changelog) (help). A changelog, not a roadmap. Releases sit here.
• Portal — the public board customers vote on (cover sidebar Portal) (help). A portal, not a changelog. Votes sit here.
• Users — a person you attach to an idea (cover sidebar Users) (help). A user, not a portal. Accounts sit here.

Autopilot / Insights on the cover are scores on Ideas (same mechanism — not a sixth desk). Free / Pro tiles are the meter. Canny AI generate is a composer, not a desk we fold into Ideas.

Who it's for

Best fit: product teams who will stay on Free at $0 / month while they open a first Ideas list, then buy Pro at $79 / month billed yearly when they need unlimited feedback and the Pro connectors.

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-23 (Asia/Shanghai) from canny.io/pricing. Tiles print Free $0 / month and Pro $79 / month billed yearly.

• Free — $0 / month. For teams getting started with feedback. Included in all plans on the copy we fetched.
• Pro — $79 / month, billed yearly. “Unlimited feedback starts at $79 / month billed yearly.”
• Business — custom, billed yearly on the page we fetched.

Confirm checkout; taxes follow your location.

Limitations / costs

• $79 is billed yearly. Do not invent a month-to-month Pro dollar the page did not print.
• Free is the getting-started tile. Unlimited feedback is the Pro tile.
• A feedback desk, not a research archive. For Dovetail’s interview grid see Dovetail. For Formbricks’ surveys see Formbricks.

Alternatives

• Dovetail — research projects when you want Dovetail’s interview grid, not Canny’s $0 / $79 Ideas list.
• Formbricks — open-source surveys when you want Formbricks’ responses, not Canny’s MRR-scored ideas.
• Plain — support threads when you want Plain’s customer inbox, not Canny’s public portal.
