Managed browsers + prompt tasks
Anchor Browser is hosted Chromium plus prompt tasks for agents: the official docs still (see the cover: Get your API key, Node.js agentTask sample, Live Playground in the nav) is the getting-started surface. Use it when the job is run a natural-language web task on a managed browser, not when you need a general chat workbench.
It is not open source as a product. Free includes $5 credits/month. Starter is the first public paid card.
What makes it unique: the cover is Anchor’s own docs with a live agentTask snippet — not the homepage CRT/hero.
Best fit: teams automating SaaS portals who will pay $0.10/successful task or infrastructure.
Poor fit: people who want a hosted general agent (Manus) or a local MIT SDK only (Stagehand).
Verified 2026-10-22 (Asia/Shanghai) from docs.anchorbrowser.io/pricing and the homepage plan cards on anchorbrowser.io. Re-check before you buy.
A failed task run does not pay the $0.10 task fee; infrastructure still bills. You pay the higher of the task fee or infrastructure cost.
Written path: Introduction plus Pricing and Playground.
Catalog row curated for AI Tools Nav. Cover is the official docs Introduction (agentTask + Get your API key). Dollars checked on docs.anchorbrowser.io/pricing (Free $5 credits; Starter $50; Growth $2,000) and the homepage Team card ($500).
