Manus

What it is for

Manus is a hosted general agent workbench: the signed-out app (see the cover: New task, Manus 2.0 Lite, Build / Create cards, and Assign a task composer) is the product. Use it when the job is hand a multi-step research or build to a cloud computer, not when you need a CDP browser API.

It is not open source. Free is $0/month. Pro is the first public paid card.

What makes it unique: the cover is the live manus.im/app composer with Build / Create tiles — not a launch poster.

Key features

• Assign a task composer — type or dictate; Cloud / Choose project on the same bar (cover).
• Build / Create — websites, apps, games, slides, images, video from the home grid.
• Agent modes — Free uses Manus 2.0 Lite; Pro unlocks Manus 2.0 and Max (Help).
• Credits — Free 300 refresh daily; Pro starts at 4,000/month.
• Team — pooled credits, SSO, guest viewers (Team page).

Who it's for

Best fit: individuals and small teams who want a hosted agent that ships a file, site, or report.

Poor fit: developers who need a Playwright session grid (Steel) or a local repo agent (Cursor).

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-22 (Asia/Shanghai). manus.im/pricing HTML hides dollar amounts (digit wheels). Public Help Center prints dollars. Re-check Help and checkout before you buy.

• Free — $0/month. Chat + Manus 2.0 Lite. 300 daily refresh credits. 1 concurrent task. 2 scheduled automations. Source: What is the current membership pricing for Manus?.
• Pro — from $20/month (4,000 credits) or $40/month (8,000 credits), 17% off annual. Manus 2.0 / Max; 20 concurrent; 20 scheduled. Same Help article.
• Team — from $20/seat/month or $200/seat/year at 4,000 credits/seat. Source: Manus for Teams. SSO add-on US$150 under 30 seats.

Do not invent a dollar from the pricing-page wheels.

Limitations / costs

• manus.im/pricing still hides $. Cite Help Center, then confirm at checkout.
• Free is Lite + 300 daily credits. Heavy research sits on Pro.
• Credits scale with task complexity. A wide-research run burns more than a chat.
• Not a browser API. For CDP sessions, see Steel.

Alternatives

• ChatGPT — general assistant; Plus $20/month on Help.
• Browser Use — browser agent you drive; Cloud $0.02/hour.
• Claude — long-context writing and Claude Code on paid plans.
