Yoink

What it is for

Yoink is a macOS drag-shelf desk: you park a Screenshot PNG on the left edge, let go of the mouse, then drop it in another Space. Use it when the job is a holding shelf you start at a public $, not when you need Paste’s iCloud clipboard grid.

Soft-note: US$8.99 / €9.99 / £8.99 one-time (Mac App Store or website) — eternalstorms.at/yoink/mac (“Purchase on Website 9,99 € / $8.99 / £8.99”). Free trial. Requires macOS 10.13+. Distinct from Paste, Maccy, and Raycast.

What makes it unique: the cover is Eternal Storms’ official left-edge shelf (stacked Screenshot PNG files on the wallpaper) — not a wordmark. The parked PNG itself is ops of the shelf.

Key features

• Edge shelf — park Screenshot PNGs at the left edge (cover still; product). One desk. Cover Screenshot PNG sits here.
• Drag park — drop files / text / images while you navigate (product). A park, not an $8.99 meter.
• Finder-like modifiers — ⌥ force-copy / ⌘ force-move (product). A modifier, not Get started.
• Clipboard history (shallow) — recent copies in the widget / app; password managers ignored by default (product). A history, not Enterprise.
• Handoff / Continuity Camera — send to iOS Yoink (separate iOS app) / camera into the shelf (product). A handoff, not a MAS tile.
• Shortcut recall — long-press to recall; double-press to save clipboard (product). A shortcut, not SSO.

Download / Purchase are CTAs (not desks). US$8.99 stays in Pricing. There is no AI extra to drop.

Who it's for

Best fit: Mac users who will buy US$8.99 after they park a first Screenshot PNG — not Maccy Free / MIT (or MAS US$9.99) first unless they want clipboard history, and not if they need a full cross-device clipboard like Paste Annual $2.49/mo.

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-23 (Asia/Shanghai) from eternalstorms.at/yoink/mac. Soft-note: website prints 9,99 € / $8.99 / £8.99. MAS / website / Setapp are listed as the same functionality.

• Yoink for Mac — US$8.99 (or €9.99 / £8.99) one-time. Website or Mac App Store.
• Trial — free trial (printed).
• Setapp — listed as a distribution. Do not invent the Setapp monthly $.
• iOS Yoink — separately sold (Handoff). Do not invent the iOS $.
• The product is not OSS. We omit a GitHub CTA.

Limitations / costs

• macOS-only (10.13+). A tiny drag shelf — not Paste’s three-device grid.
• Clipboard history is shallow versus Maccy / Paste.
• Handoff to iPhone/iPad needs the separate iOS app.
• No official YouTube channel on the product page.

Alternatives

• Paste — a clipboard grid when you want Annual $2.49/mo ($29.99/yr) + iCloud, not a drag shelf.
• Maccy — local clipboard history when you want Free / MIT or MAS US$9.99, not parked PNGs.
• Raycast — a launcher + clipboard when you want Free $0 / Pro $10, not an edge shelf.
