Void is an open-source privacy-first AI IDE: you review AgentMode diffs (Accept / Reject) beside a checkpoint sidebar, and the editor is Free. Use it when the job is a local agent you start at $0, not when you need Cursor’s hosted Agent SKU only.

Soft-note: $0 Apache 2.0 (voideditor/void). The GitHub README now says Void is deprecated and the repo is archived — the site still describes the OSS IDE. Distinct from Cursor, Zed, Windsurf, and Continue.
