Stats

What it is for

Stats is a macOS menu-bar system monitor: you open the CPU / RAM / Network / Battery popups, read 73% memory and 80% battery, and the app is $0 (MIT). Use it when the job is a menu-bar meter you start at a public $, not when you need Raycast’s Free $0 File Search only.

Soft-note: Free / OSS (MIT) at github.com/exelban/stats. Distinct from Raycast, Alfred, and CleanShot X (soft adjacent Mac utility).

What makes it unique: the cover is Stats’ official module-popup collage (CPU / GPU / RAM / Network / Battery / Sensors / Disk / Bluetooth / Clock + Combined modules) from mac-stats.com/img/Stats-1280.webp — not a wordmark. Soft-note: gradient marketing background, real module chrome. The Battery 80% card itself is ops of a module.

Key features

• CPU popup — usage history + Apple M1 Max cores (cover still; mac-stats.com). One desk. Cover CPU sits here.
• RAM popup — Used 23.23 GB / App / Wired / Compressed (cover). Memory, not a paid tile.
• Network popup — Download / Upload 20 kB/s + interface table (cover). A NIC, not a $0 meter.
• Battery popup — 80% + AC Power / on hold (cover). A battery, not Get Stats.
• Sensors + Disk — Temperature / Airport / Macintosh HD (cover). Sensors, not Cloud.
• Menu-bar strip — CPU / GPU / Network / battery glyphs across the top (cover; exelban/stats). The bar, not a remote dashboard.

Download / GitHub stars are CTAs (not desks). There is no printed paid SKU to keep in Pricing. Optional remote System Stats stays off Key features (separate product).

Who it's for

Best fit: Mac users who will stay on the MIT binary at $0 while they open a first Battery 80% popup — not a remote dashboard first, and not Alfred Powerpack unless they need a launcher.

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-23 (Asia/Shanghai) from mac-stats.com plus github.com/exelban/stats (license.spdx_id MIT). Soft-note: $0.

• Stats (OSS) — $0. MIT at exelban/stats. Menu-bar modules on macOS.
• Paid Cloud / Pro card — none printed on the site or the repo. Do not invent a $.
• System Stats / remote dashboard — a separate optional product. Not this listing’s printed floor.

Limitations / costs

• Menu-bar only. The cover collage is local popups; a remote dashboard is separate.
• A monitor, not Raycast’s Free $0 launcher. For that launcher see Raycast.
• macOS. There is no Windows build on the repo we fetched.

Alternatives

• Raycast — a launcher when you want Free $0 / Pro $10, not Stats’ Battery 80% popup.
• Alfred — a launcher + workflows when you want Free app / Powerpack £34, not menu-bar sensors.
• CleanShot X — a Mac capture desk when you want Basic $35 once (soft adjacent utility, not a monitor clone).
