What it is for

Ghostty is a native GPU terminal: you split tabs into panes (ls / fastfetch / btop / config) on macOS or Linux, and the app is $0 (MIT). Use it when the job is a local terminal you run at $0, not when you need a hosted $20 agent seat.

Soft-note: OSS $0. We do not invent a paid Cloud $. Distinct from Ghost (the CMS). Distinct from Warp and Raycast.

What makes it unique: the cover is Ghostty’s official macOS desk (native tabs github IBM / Windows workspace, four-way split: directory listing, fastfetch on zacks-MacBook-Pro, btop CPU/memory, config JSON) from Mitchell Hashimoto’s Ghostty 1.0 is Coming still (macos.png) — not the OG social-share card. The fastfetch pane itself is ops of the terminal. Community showcase stills, published on the founder post.
