Dust

What it is for

Dust is a company-knowledge agent desk: connect Slack, Notion, GitHub, or Drive, then build agents that answer from that pile or run on a schedule. Use it when the job is shared agents on your company systems, not when you need a personal chat seat with no connectors.

What makes it unique: the cover is the official dust-tt/dust GitHub file list — agents/, connectors/, core/, MIT in the About pane — not a marketing orb.

Key features

• Custom agents — write instructions, attach skills, knowledge, and tools, then @ the agent in chat (dust.tt; Academy: First steps). One agent you author, not a generate.
• Connectors — Slack, Notion, Google Drive, GitHub, Salesforce, Zendesk, and 20+ more so answers read the company pile (dust.tt “70+ connectors”). A data pipe, not a prompt.
• Scheduled / triggered workflows — multi-agent runs on a clock or an event (pricing “Multi-agent orchestration & triggers”). A job, not a chat turn.
• Frames — interactive dashboards and mini-apps the agent ships (pricing Frames row). An artifact, not an answer.
• Pods — collaborative rooms with shared context so a team and its agents sit on one workspace (pricing Pods). People + agents, not a private thread.

MCP servers and the Conversation API are install / SDK. Credits per message are the meter. Model names (GPT / Claude / Gemini / Mistral / DeepSeek) are SKU.

Who it's for

Best fit: ops and GTM teams who will pay Pro seats so more than the lifetime 500-credit Free seat can run shared agents on company data.

Limitations / costs

• 24€ / 120€ are yearly-billed EUR cards. Monthly list is 30€ / 150€.
• Free is 500 lifetime credits, not a Pro seat. Pro is the first 8,000-credit / month card.
• Company agent desk, not a personal automation canvas. For hosted flows without a company knowledge graph, see Gumloop.

Alternatives

• Lindy — hosted agents that are not a company-knowledge workspace.
• Relevance AI — agent workforce when Dust’s connector graph is not the job.
• Gumloop — visual AI flows without Dust’s Slack/Notion/GitHub pile.
