Anara

What it is for

Anara is a research workspace over your own files: upload PDFs, organize folders/tags, and chat with the library. Use it when the job is ask a question of papers you already collected, not when you need a public web answer engine.

What makes it unique: the official Help plan table (cover) is the workspace — documents, connectors (Zotero / Mendeley on Free), and a usage meter.

Key features

• Upload + folders + tags — core workspace on every plan (Help).
• Chat in Auto mode — Free/Plus pick a model for you; Pro unlocks every model in the selector.
• Zotero and Mendeley connectors — on Free.
• Science-database connectors — Plus adds PubMed, bioRxiv/medRxiv, ClinicalTrials.gov, and more.
• Deep Search — Max 5x / 20x for multi-step library + web research.

Who it's for

Best fit: lab members who already have a PDF pile and will pay Plus or Pro for weekly usage.

Pricing

Verified 2026-10-22 (Asia/Shanghai) from anara.com/pricing (public list, USD per seat). Annual prices are monthly equivalents plus the yearly total.

• Free — $0. Daily usage meter.
• Plus — $10/month, or $8/month billed annually ($96/year).
• Pro — $20/month, or $16/month billed annually ($192/year).
• Max 5x — $100/month, or $80/month billed annually ($960/year).
• Max 20x — $200/month, or $160/month billed annually ($1,920/year).

Limitations / costs

• Free is a daily meter. A long annotation day ends early.
• Pro is the first card with every model. Plus stays on Auto.
• Your-library workspace, not a 400M-paper search engine. For that, see Consensus.

Alternatives

• Elicit — research-agent composer over a paper corpus.
• SciSpace — signed-out research composer.
• ChatPDF — signed-out one-PDF chat.
