Our take
Pick CapCut if short-form creators who already think in a timeline and want captions/TTS in the same app. Pick Runway if creators who want text-to-video or timeline edits and will burn credits. Skip CapCut if people who need a prompt-to-video model (Runway, Kling AI) or a transcript-first cut (Descript). Skip Runway if people who need a presenter avatar (HeyGen, Synthesia) or speech-only TTS (ElevenLabs).
